Unpopular opinion: I don't love traditional fall/ autumn colors like orange, burgundy, and brown. I can absolutely appreciate them, but they likely won't be the combination that I jump to with wild excitement. I do love the muted, earthy + soft neutral tones that happen slowly through the autumn months, though! That time of year when limelight hydrangeas are transitioning from green to a toasted pink and the trees are full of crabapples. To me, everything has been sun kissed and it's harvest time, baby!
A fall color palette that gets me up in the morning? This wedding is a great example: soft earthy tones, nude, cream and soft blush with pops of persimmon and cinnamon currant. As soon as the incredibly talented wedding planner, Courtney with Ivory & Sage sent me the romantic mood board for Emma + Chets wedding, I was in love!
As you can see from the photos, Deer Flat Ranch was the perfect setting to host this romantic vibe because of its outstanding sunset lighting. The ceremony meadow was an epic win, we used limelight hydrangeas, fall colored foliage branches, crabapples, and a variety of roses to create a full meadow that lined the wood ceremony platform. We made matching lush pieces for the beginning of the aisle and centerpiece compotes to line the aisle. All together, it was an incredible sight to see!
Inside, we decked out the Wellington white bar and arched shelves with gorgeous blooms. We hung smilax, hydrangeas + bittersweet vine from the basket lanterns and lights above the dance floor. On the kings tables, we created a tablescape with smilax foliage, mini arrangements and ikebana bowl style groupings sprinkling in persimmons and pomegranates for a fun texture + pop of color. On the round tables, our centerpiece compotes were rocking everything from roses, dahlias + hydrangeas to lisianthus, cosmos and zinnias. After all the planning, designing, and implementing that all the amazing vendors did, Kortney J Photo came in and captured every detail in the most epic and dreamy way possible!
